About Me

Having a baby is the happiest time in any parent’s life – but it is also one of the most daunting. There are a seemingly endless number of contradictory books on the subject and everybody who’s ever had a baby (and many who haven’t) have an opinion about what is best for both you and your new arrival. That’s where I come in.

I give new mums and mums-to-be all the practical and emotional support they need as they prepare to welcome the new addition to family. This includes antenatal classes (and the all important home-made chocolate cake at the classes) and advice on breastfeeding and routine, sleep & settling and vaccinations.

With more than 22 years experience as a registered nurse (RN) in both SA and the UK I have delivered hundreds of babies and am a member of BabyGroup’s medical council, contributing to and reviewing articles for the site. I have been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2008.

Over the years I have built up good relationships with many other healthcare providers in the community and will recommend them to you for additional and comprehensive care when needed.
